Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the
people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
Pay attention. Let not your heart be troubled.
In retrospect I am feeling as though a McCain victory could have been the last
death gargle of the conservative movement. The so called “Moderates” in the Republican Party have cried for years
about reaching across the isle to play footsie with the Democrats. They said that if we ran a moderate candidate
that we could win. Did we? No. Not only
did we lose but the “moderate” McCain advisory staff, in a major show of
cowardice, started anonymously attacking Sarah Palin. They have been far more
diligent in demonizing her than they were about simply making the truth known
about Obama. Send this to your “moderate”
friends. So I may speak to them:
Dear Moderates,
The next time you reach across the isle STAY THERE!!!! If you are more comfortable agreeing with the
left on anything, go be with them, please. We listened to you, we tried it your
way and it led to a loss and the most qualified person on the ticket being
referred to as a “Wasilla Hillbilly”. We on the so called “Religious Right”
will have our party back to build it as we see fit. You may still vote with us when you agree
with us but you can start reaching across the isle from the left where you
belong. Thanks for your understanding and may God richly bless and keep you and
your pro-abortion, anti gun buddies on the left.
Those of us that love liberty and believe in
limited government will never, ever, ever be embraced by the media,”Moderate
Republicans” (Closet Liberals), or the Democrat Party. Get over it. We don’t need to be popular or
accepted by the pseudo-mainstream to win and win big. We must get back to our
roots. GOD FIRST, Country second! We
must stop hiding our faith in God and using secular humanist arguments to support
our views. Be un-ashamedly Christian. They will call you narrow minded and bigoted. Get used to it. Elephants
have very tough skin! Let’s act like real conservatives again. Let’s be real
Christian conservatives that apply biblical stewardship to fiscal matters. Let’s be compassionate conservatives that
help brother and sister Americans in need by all voluntary means available. I
said voluntary giving, not forced spreading of the wealth. Are you visualizing the dream yet? Can you see us being the strong, absolutely
conservative voice that we are called to be? We must lovingly usher the
moderates to the place where they act as though they are most comfortable. That
is the soft, fuzzy place on the left that solves nothing but feels everything.
The only way to force them out is to vet our candidates
well. If they lean left in any way, they
don’t get our vote. You ask, “What if no
real conservative is running?” That
answer is simple. Pray about it. Ask God to put the name of a real conservative
you know on your heart to run against
the moderate. The name He speaks to your
spirit may even be your own. Folks we
have to work harder than ever. We have two races to win in 2010. The primary
race must be a consorted effort to force the moderates out. We have 2 years to
motivate young conservatives to action. You can do this in your Church Youth Group without ever endorsing a
candidate. Sixteen year olds of today are the voters of tomorrow. Teach, teach, and teach values and
voting. Once the primaries are won and
we have our party back, these genuinely conservative candidates will boldly
express their views and make them appealing again. Support them strong in November. It will require all of us, but we can do it.
Sincerely,
Doug
